The objective of this Amazon Mechanical Turk exercise is to complete the above Excel file as shown in the instructional videos. Please see steps below.
BEFORE STARTING: Email contact@ascalonindustries.com and let us know you are starting the assignment.
Download the Excel File above. You will only be dealing with Columns A, B, and C.
Open the Zoning Viewer: http://maps.bostonredevelopmentauthority.org/zoningviewer/

Copy and Paste the Parcel ID from the Excel File into the Zoning Viewer (and place a 0 at the beginning of the ID IF NECESSARY) and hit enter to get up the specific parcel
NOTE: The parcel ID should be 10 DIGITS! Excel removes 0’s from the beginning of a cell so the first chunk of parcels is only 9 digits and will show no results if you don’t add a 0.
When the info pane about the property pops up on the right side of the Zoning Viewer screen, copy and paste the “Zoning District” and “Zoning SubDistrict” into the yellow columns in the Excel sheet. If there is more than one zone, i.e. “ MFR, MFR-1 ” copy it just like that, with both.
Complete the entire Excel sheet and send completed Excel file to: contact@ascalonindustries.com. Then simply complete the question submission via the Amazon Turk site and you will get credit.
